Finally some rational thought and commentary in the sea of ideological junk we get from both sides. Huzzah! You have a new reader.

Excellent article on Obama’s speech to schools. It IS the parent’s responsibility to parent, the school’s to educate, and the LOCAL decisions on content to be delivered to be made locally

Unfortunately (and I do mean unfortunately) I disagree with you. The Bush years and the lack of any reasoning that accompanied them left me and a lot of other Americans shaking their heads wondering how this guy got elected. Then Republican strong-arming of Congress, the alignment of lobbyists, etc. No, it was the Republican party that polarized the country. I lament that there are no intelligent republicans to debate. Opposition to Obama has been louder and ruder than it ever was to Bush. Now I wish I had been more rude to Mr. Bush. So, who has caused this polarization? You.

Marty, in the spirit of this site, I think you are wrong to do that. I happened to think david can take a step back and look at the pictures in the past decade or two but we don’t need to label anyone. We all have to be honest with ourselves and judge the facts with Tanusian Thinking. One thing I believe Mr. Siegel is trying to achieve here is to stop fighting among ourselves and focus on the main opponents at Capitol Hills. Leave behind the D and R, focus on the A(America) or U(us citizens) and not them(politicians)
