Folks, CNN is reporting that Rev Jones has canceled his Quran burning. “Rev. Terry Jones of World Outreach Center in Florida says he is canceling Quran burning event on Saturday.”
Canceling was the right thing to do, not because of the danger per the statement by General Petraeus, though that danger is an important issue. Burning another group’s religious book is wrong on its face. Regardless of the threats.
I know Muslims commit crimes against humanity every day in the name of Islam. But we are Americans and therefore we must be better. We must show the world the light, and act as a symbol for those many Muslims ready to follow true Islam and find peace.

People of all religions commit violent acts. Being an American is immaterial. People should flat out be decent human beings.

What’s peace are you talking about? Is it women abuse that American do all the time? or is it killing students at Virginia Tech? Or killing innocent students in Ohio school?
