Excellent post here on the power of blogging and the ease of manipulating We the People. As a point of critique to this important article, the mass media’s feedback loop is not as quick as that in blogging, as Arrington states, however that feedback loop is extremely well funded and based on very powerful research.
We the People are highly susceptible to media manipulation. That is a dangerous fact.
Bloggers certainly have power but it is the mainstream media that creates the American Idols (Idols meant in broader terms than the one tv show), the Hannah Montanas, etc. It is the mainstream media that made the Obama campaign a near messianic cult. The blogosphere only helped with that.
