The drug gang violence in northern Mexico has become so severe that would be illegal immigrants to the U.S. are warning those back home not to make the trip.
The violence should also spur illegal immigration supporters here in the U.S. to recognize the need to secure our borders and toughen our laws against illegal immigration to remove the lure of the U.S. to those willing to come illegally. The trip north has always been a dangerous one for people that want to come here illegally. Our loose borders combined with efforts by some businesses to lure illegals north has led to many deaths. Now the problem is worse. It is inhumane to offer sanctuary to illegals because that sanctuary is a lure that is likely to get people killed.
Fix legal immigration and stop illegal immigration.
