Israel will ease the Gaza blockade, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Are Gazans prepared to take advantage of this opportunity? Are Israel’s neighbors prepared? What about American Muslims?
What I mean is; are Gazans ready to respond with a major peaceful gesture in return? Will Iran ease the rhetoric? Will Syria cease supplying rockets to Hezbollah? Will American Muslims work up the courage to encourage their Muslim brethren living in and around Israel to use this opportunity to improve their quality of life and prospects for their children’s future by responding to Israel’s move peacefully?
I suspect that Israel will be forced to back away from this move either due to terrorist acts or intelligence that terrorists are using the opportunity to prepare weapons or plan attacks.
I hope I am wrong. I hope Gazans and all of Israel’s neighbors use this as an opportunity for peace.
