How often have we heard the so-called Conservatives telling liberals to take control of their lives? It is, supposedly, a fundamental of true conservatism that you don’t take handouts or ask for help; instead, you forge your world based on your hard work and decisions.
Here is a woman asking God to give her flock the mainstream media. She wants God to “swing the door open” for influence. She is asking God to “take power and influence in the media of this country and of this globe from the unrighteous and give it to righteous people who are willing to do kingdom work to proclaim….” “I want to own these networks, to make CBS the Christian Broadcast System.” And she wants more power than Oprah Winfrey (I wonder if even God can do anything about that?!).
So my question for this preacher, Janet Porter, and so many other conservatives that are constantly whining about the liberal media, is, if you want a media voice so badly, why don’t you listen to good conservative philosophy and buy CBS or one of the mainstream news outlets? Or, why don’t you build your own media outlet?
Did God have to create the New York Times and CBS for the liberals?
