Johnson would personally prefer military tribunals for terrorist. However on CNN he explained that experts and history stand on the side of our ability to properly hold terrorist trials. Obama’s plan for trying terrorists is not going to bring our country to its knees, as opponents of civil trials would have you believe.
We can put terrorists on trial today, here in the U.S. if we think these things through. If the White House had given the trial of Sheikh Mohammed the proper thought, the arguments that led to his rethinking the strategy would not have occurred.
It is about thinking the strategy all the way through.
