It seems to me that I have read reports recently of shortages in certain types of care for our military personnel. Come to think of it, there may be a school or two out there that could use some improvements to its physical plant, better textbooks, or perhaps some increased pay for teachers. I thought there were reports that much of our nation’s infrastructure needs to be overhauled. There is also that incident in Haiti. And me…? I don’t have a job and I am also about to begin that fun process of doing my tax return in which I get the final number for how much of my hard work goes to the U.S. government for what should be care for our military personnel, funding for schools, and infrastructure.
Instead, some of this money is going to provide Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, with her very own party plane.
I must be missing something, folks. On January 28, Judicial Watch announced that it had found, via records obtained from Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), new documents detailing Speaker Pelosi’s spending of more than $2 million on travel in just two years, using the U.S. Air Force. This includes more than $100 thousand on in flight expenses.
Where is the media outrage? Where is the public outrage?
Yes, I know Pelosi’s abuse of the military resources for her use is nothing new. I know that on a flight for government leaders and their spouses costing taxpayers almost $18,000 per hour for the aircraft alone, that purchasing the following with taxpayer dollars doesn’t surprise anyone, but…
Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine.
I want to see someone justify this spending. I want to know why she is not forced to pay. Or removed from office. I want to know why We the People allow ourselves to be taken advantage of by the ruling class?

…but if the CEO of Citibank buys all that with TARP money that’s just the free market, right?
Not if it is TARP money. TARP money was our money used to stabilize the financial system and abused because politicians need to buy the votes.
At some point folks we have to say enough throwing our money around on parties and vote buying and badly planned and horribly executed government programs from TARP to the stimulus to a list of spending programs that led to waste and mismanagement going back more than 70 years.
TARP, pork, mismanagement, freebies, perks, gifts, fancy dinners, great parking spaces, the best seats at events, luxury travel, fitness centers, hair cuts, banking privileges, influence, information……..
It doesn’t matter which party you vote for, if you’re working hard the politicians are taking advantage of you. We the masses exist to support the politicians and their benefactors.
We The People should not have to foot the bill for these politicians to bring along their family nor for their bar tab on their junkets.
