Bad health care reform legislation has become the target in today’s Massachusetts special election.
Among the more fascinating aspects of this past year’s politics is that President Obama’s health care reform may be in trouble because of today’s special election in Massachusetts. “There’s no question that the president’s domestic agenda hangs in the balance,” said Democratic commentator Donna Brazile. Brazile is, in my opinion, one of the most knowledge people in this country. I disagree with most everything she says but I would vote for her for any office she ran for.
The challenge is not that the Democrat president will lose his Democratic majority in Congress if Democrat Martha Coakley losses to Republican Scott Brown, it is that the Democrats will lose their overwhelming 60 seat majority.
Think about this folks, this President and Congress have messed up health care reform so badly that the reforms are in trouble without a super majority. The U.S. health care system which is burdened by regulations, taxes, and prohibition of competition; a system that allows insurers to cut off people for the crime of needing the insurance they pay for, that penalizes entrepreneurs and the self-employed yet rewards the political class with great health care coverage and plenty of perks from special interest groups, where skyrocketing costs are the norm and where many in the industry use 20th century information technology………..needs a 60 vote majority to pass badly needed reform legislation!!!!!!!
This is pathetic.
Today’s election is not so much a referendum on Obamacare as it is a sign that our President and Congress have badly messed up this vital legislation. The simple fact that today’s special election for Ted Kennedy’s seat has come to this should be a sign to Democrats (if they were really focused on what is best for our nation) that they need to scrap this legislation and craft a new bill that really works. No matter the outcome of today’s election. No matter whether Coakley or Brown is the winner.
How could legislation to fix the health care system, which is so badly in need of a fix, be so unpopular that the state of U.S. politics has come to this?

Robert….Would you vote for Donna Brazile today, if she was the Democrat running instead of Martha Croakley? Please say it ain’t so…Brazile, would insure Obama gets his horrible health care bill and we get the shaft for the forseeable future….And continue down this path of fraud, lies and corruption….
