Haiti is the UNs Katrina

In what I can only describe as remarkable timing, the TimesOnline reported yesterday that the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) may retract a claim made two years ago that most of the Himalyan glaciers would melt by 2035.  The Times reports that the IPCC claim was based on an eight year old article by a scientist who “has since admitted that the claim was “speculation” and was not supported by any formal research.”

The same issue of the TimesOnline reports on the disaster in Haiti that, “large areas of the city remain untouched by the global aid effort as bottlenecks continue to clog the airport and looting threatens to descend into wholesale violence.”

I ask you to look back at my post from Saturday, “Lesson on Haiti: Enough with the UN and global warming fanaticism.”  There are methods to deal with the potential of human cause global warming.  Those methods are the free markets and alternative energy.  The world bodies have been too busy pursuing wealth transfer in the name of global warming to do their real jobs, and as a result, the Haitians are suffering far more than need be.

Haiti is the UNs Katrina.
