Hey Florida’s 8th district, Your Congressman is nuts!

According to Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL), we the people are not allowed to declare that “My Congressman is nuts” referring to a specific congressman unless we in fact reside in that Congressman’s district.

I happen to believe that Congressman Grayson is nuts, but since I do not reside in his district I will play it safe and say to those that do reside in Mr. Grayson’s district; “Your Congressman is nuts!”

DougRoss@Journal reports today that a Ms. Langley, has formed a committee called ‘My Congressman is nuts,’ and operates MyCongressmanisNuts.com. Langley has so angered Congressman Grayson that he has written to Attorney General Eric Holder asserting that since the woman is not in his district, “Ms. Langley and the Committee should be fined, and Ms. Langley imprisoned for five years.”

Grayson complains that Ms. Langely “has chosen a name for her committee that is utterly tasteless and juvenile.”

For a review of Congressman Grayson’s own utterly tasteless and juvenile statements and discussion of how this Harvard educated lawyer could have missed learning about the First Amendment, go to MyCongressmanIsNuts in the News, and MyCongressmanIsNuts.com.

Robert….Lynn and I don’t approve of name calling….It’s not helpful to the political dialogue . Just because you don’t agree with him, does not mean anything, except that you oppose his policies, his ideas and his world view….

I believe you requested a week or so ago, that I read #9 ( necessary to listen to others, as they may have valid ideas) of your principles. I did, and since then, I have been cured…I’m changing my name to MelbaToast… See where this is going??

Robert S. Siegel December 22, 2009 at 6:43 pm

Dear Melba Toast, I am guilty as charged! I knew you would catch this but I couldn’t help myself.

I need to get past incidents where I feel a member of the political class does something absurdley abusive as is the case here. Perhaps under ObamaCare there will be a cure.

Robert, my tongue was securely in cheek…As you know, I like labels especially descriptive accurate ones, and if they stick, all the better..

I really like what you said about this fool in Florida. He is immature, juvenile, and has been on Conservative radar for a while now. I sent $100 to a political fund that targets irresponsible lamebrains like this…Have I called him enough names…I don’t care about dialogue with him…He needs to be defeated…He is also a poopieheaded drone…Not like Lynn, who is a true moderate giant…

Understood. As was mine for part of my comment.

However, I don’t like using names the way I did in this post but I write what comes out onto the keyboard and today that is what came out. Grayson’s approach to politics is the opposite of everything my blog stands for.

It’s fine to use names that apply and get the point across..To call someone a name instead of addressing their points, is a completely different matter….I believe you know the difference…

What’s with you and Lynn? You seem to be on her case all the time…..And very sarcastic toward her..She seems like a nice person. Well meaning, has her own grasp of the issues that are important to her. Just because you find her POV ridiclous does not make her wrong in her known universe…You could maybe learn a thing or two from her.

Like what??????????????????????????????????? MYODB

Lynn December 22, 2009 at 6:15 pm

It’s one thing to call someone out for name calling, but it’s quite another to fine and jail them for doing so. But I could see where the finer points would be lost on someone who wants public school teachers jailed for sedition. I think the conversation can be lively on the facts, poopie-head.

HighPlanesDrifter December 22, 2009 at 7:50 pm

That’s right Lynn…But only after they have their day in court..And it was the UNION LEADERS who get to go to jail, not the teachers, silly, they are generally drones….I will allow a high reasonable bail…

And it wasn’t sedition….it was for misuse of public funds…You may want to slow down the speed reading and let the words connect with the brain cells…Poopiheaded as they are…

This was the same guy who wanted to propose the Paid Vacation Act, back when the entire federal lunacy was just starting to bud.

Unfortunately, he’s not the only unhinged player in D.C. This week’s example includes Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D, Conn.) who basically told Lieberman that he should just follow the others, instead of having a thought against health insurance “reform”.

HighPlanesDrifter December 22, 2009 at 7:57 pm

And he listened….As we knew he would…I’ve said this before, but in case you may have missed it….Lieberman is just” Obama with a yamaka”….I really like that…Rolls off the tongue sooo nicely…Now I have to think up a good one for LYNN… “She’s Obama in pantyhose”? Nah, I’ll work on it…
