White House Gate Crasher – I want the President protected

I want to vote President Obama out of office in 2012, assuming there is a quality option (I don’t consider birther Sarah Palin an option). If Obama wins 2012 I want to watch him retire in peace in January 2017.

I want our President protected and therefore I want answers to this White House gate crasher incident so authorities can determine why this happened and fix whatever the problem was that allowed the breach.

First up, I want to understand why those two people concocted this stunt. What would cause a person to think that they could crash a White House party???? Why would they go through all the preparations to get ready for a White House party when they would have had to assume they would be turned away and quite likely publicly embarrassed? Did they have any reason to know their stunt would succeed?

I want to know why the White House denied a Congressional committee the benefit of testimony of Social Secretary Desiree Rogers. The White House claimed separation of powers as the reason for the denial. I am a big fan of Separation of Powers but I fail to see why it is an issue here. Perhaps there is a reason in law for preventing cooperation here but if there is want details. What are they shielding Rogers from?

The Secret Service has taken full responsibility for the incident. Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan told the House Homeland Security Committee, “This is our fault and our fault alone,” he said. “There’s no other people to blame here. … Look at me and blame me.” Sullivan’s testimony is honorable and no surprise coming from a man, an organization, dedicated to placing themselves between the President and a threat.

But I am not satisfied. I want to know that this President is safe. It is standard practice for a member of the Social Secretary’s staff to assist the Secret Service in approving guest entry for parties. Coincidentally, the Secretary’s staff did not assist the Service on the same night that a couple that aspires to reality TV just happened to get all dressed up to crash White House party and just happen to succeed. Too many coincidences here.

To me this appears to be nothing more than something akin to the bouncer that sneaks his friends backstage after the concert. We have what was meant to be an innocent prank. But that prank exposed what could have been a serious security breach. Let’s take advantage and fix that breach. Now. If there really is an issue with Separation of Powers, I want that issue solved and I want to see a full public investigation.

I want our President protected. I want to vote him out of office. And I want him and his family to live long, healthy, and prosperous lives.

Makes you wonder WTF is going on. A full scale investigation will likely not happen, in case the results are too embarrasing for the administration. A few people will swallow a sword and that will be it.

Although they said Obama was safe, there are too many what ifs floating around. What if Rogers was a closet loonie bin who want the Chief to go? Not so far fetched. (the thought of a Biden presidency with pelosi as VP…………..)

What is wrong in this country when people feel they need to declare their hope that the president won’t be assasinated? Did we ever need to do this before? “I disagree with Reagan’s treatment of the air traffic controllers, but please noboddy shoot him?” And what kinds of nasty names would someone have been called if they declared that they wanted George W. Bush voted out of office in the fall of 2001? I wish we could all agree to support the president and participate in the political process to support or oppose his policies and initiatives as the opportunity arises.
