Yesterday, interviews with President Obama were broadcast on five networks, ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and Univision. Fine. He is trying to promote his health care plan. I am trying to find out if anyone challenged the President on his statements on health care for illegal immigrants and his pledge to meet with his opponents on health care.
During his speech to Congress, President Obama pledged that no illegal immigrants would receive health care under any plan that he approved. At the time I wrote that he would get around that pledge by granting illegals amnesty. Last week the President pledged to do just that. “”If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all.”
The President also promised to meet with his opponents on health care. “If you come to me with a set of serous proposals, I will be there to listen……My door is always open.” As I wrote in a post earlier today, this is not happening either.
Now, I need some assistance. Over the course of the five interviews of President Obama, someone had to have confronted the President with these discrepancies, especially after the commotion, justified, over Joe Wilson calling the President a liar during his speech to Congress. I can’t find these questions nor the answers, and I am out of time; I have to spend my time on my paying job. So please help. If you can find the question and the President’s answer please send me an email or post the link in the comments. I want to understand how he justifies the question. Thank you.

While I’m not taking a position either way, there’s a movement afoot to change the way these folks are characterized, i.e., “illegal alien” vs. “undocumented immigrant”. (And then re-read President Obama’s phraseology of the issue).
