Political labels: Part 1.
My editor Michael and I believe in limited government as defined by terms like Laissez Faire Liberalism and Classical Liberalism. We believe that a significant number of voters share our views though their expression of those views are too often limited by party labels.
We call our political philosophy, Mind Your Own Damn Business Politics, meaning basically; stay out of our wallets, religions, and our lives, and we’ll stay out of yours. The role of government is to protect us in those rights and to not do much more beyond providing that protection.
We think most Americans agree with our Mind Your Own Damn Business Political views, making our views, by definition, mainstream. More and more Americans understand that Democratic and Republican politicians are too busy trying to buy their own reelections with the money we pay in taxes to practice serious politics.
America needs a Mind Your Own Damn Business Political Party.
Michael recently found a very good online test that caused us to evaluate our political philosophy, the World’s Smallest Political Quiz. The Quiz is interesting, and will be the basis for a column tomorrow and another column Friday. If you haven’t taken this quiz I hope you will follow this link, World’s Smallest Political Quiz. The quiz is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. I hope to see you back here tomorrow to read my column; What political label fits you? Are you sure? I am going to offer my answers as points (or perhaps the word is “fodder”) for discussion.
