Of special note from the web: I have two items to point out from this week’s news. The first is a story in the New York Times that Palestinian leaders asked the American envoy to the Middle East on Friday to press Israel’s new government to accept a two-state solution.
The second is an excellent piece from Huffington Post by Mort Zuckerman, Editor of U.S. News & World Report. Zuckerman states that a Palestinian state cannot be created by terrorism. It can be created through the reformation of political and economic institutions so that they reflect democracy, market economics, and real actions to confront terrorism.
I highly recommend Zuckerman’s piece and will have a post of my own soon, calling on American Moslems to demand Palestinians seek peace by being peaceful.
