Las Vegas Shooting: Paddock's 'Girlfriend' Has Left Philippines

Las Vegas shooter wired $140000 to Philippines last week

It's Time To Politicize Las Vegas

The girlfriend of the gunman who killed 58 people and then himself in an attack in Las Vegas has returned to the USA from the Philippines.

The police official in Manila said Ms Danley's trip back to the United States "was coordinated with Federal Bureau of Investigation authorities" and that she was returning to clear her name of any involvement in the deadliest mass shooting in modern USA history.

She reportedly returned to the US on Tuesday to clear her name of any connection to the shooting.

News that Paddock was the man responsible for killing 59 people and wounding more than 500 was shocking to Alarcon. Paddock killed himself before police reached his hotel room. She flew from Manila to Hong Kong on September 22 and then returned to Manila three days later on September 25.

The New York Times has reported Ms Danley has a daughter who lives in Los Angeles.

Federal, state, and local investigators have found no evidence that Paddock, 64, had even incidental contacts with foreign or domestic extremist groups, and reviews of his history show no underlying pattern of lawbreaking or hate speech, a senior USA homeland security official said on Tuesday. She once worked at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa in Reno, which said Danley left the company "several years ago".

Former neighbors of Stephen Paddock didn't remember him ever talking about guns, but did notice his gambling.

Danley's now-deleted Facebook page identified her as a "proud mom and grandma who lives life to the fullest", according to the Express.

Ms Danley, an Australian citizen aged 62 who is reported to have been born in the Philippines, was not seen by reporters in any public area of the LAX arrival terminal.

Marilou Danley has "questions to answer" when she returns to the U.S., police say.

According to the New York Times, Paddock wired thousands of dollars (other reports claim it was as much as $100,000) to the Philippines some time recently.

"Maybe if Marilou was there this maybe didn't happen because she won't let it happen".

"We know that the suspect fired over a dozen or so volleys and that the firing ceased about 10.19pm", Las Vegas Metro Police Undersheriff Kevin McMahill said.

Paddock ended Sunday night's shooting spree, the deadliest in modern USA history, by killing himself. Law enforcement authorities had been in communication with her and anticipated "some information here from her shortly", he said during a news conference.

Police are not aware whether the devices were transmitting - the FBI is investigating their use - but the Clark County sheriff told reporters he thinks the shooter might have used them to watch for people approaching his room.

Paddock used Ms Danley's ID to check into the Mandalay Bay hotel before carrying out his deadly rampage.

They lived together in Mr Paddock's property in Babbling Brook Court, a two-bedroom home worth $396,000 (£297,554). He said he expected to release a statement Wednesday afternoon.

He said the family did not plan to hold a funeral for his brother, who was not religious, saying it could attract unwanted attention.
