Dragon Ball FighterZ Comes To The West Before Japan, Season Pass Detailed

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season Pass Officially Announced, To Add 8 New Characters And More

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update Adds New 'Hero Colosseum' Mode

Bandai Namco revealed that upcoming anime fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ will be receiving roster additions beyond its initial release date, which has been announced as January 26, 2018 for North America and Europe.

Along with the Season Pass, Bandai Namco also announced two new editions of Dragon Ball FighterZ including a FighterZ Edition and an Ultimate Edition.

Last week, it's also been confirmed that the game's Story Mode will be different than that of recent Arc System Works fighting games, as players will not only take part in battles but also complete side objectives, improve bonds with other characters and much more.

It's not clear from Bandai Namco's press release whether the 8 bonus characters from the FighterZ Pass will be available at launch, or as a season pass of content - we'll update once they let us know. This strategical choice will have an impact on fighting abilities in future fights! Partnering with Arc System Works, DRAGON BALL FighterZ maximizes high end Anime graphics and brings easy to learn but hard to master fighting gameplay. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the game will also have an Ultimate Edition, which comes with a $110 price tag. Dubbed the FighterZ Pass, it will cost $34.99, and each fighter will come with their "respective stamp, set of alternative colors and even Lobby Avatars". Stay tuned for more details about the open beta.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It is actually a few days earlier than the Japanese release, which is on February 1, 2018.
