Police said Macke attempted yet neglected to influence tyke to watch over her kids - two matured 12, one 7 and the other 6 - before leaving September 20 for an excursion in Germany.
Police discovered upon further investigation Macke left the country on September 20, and had no intention to return until October 1 - almost two weeks later.
Johnston police have charged Erin Macke, 30, with four tallies of youngster danger and one of exchanging a gun to a man under 21.
The ex-husband of a woman who police said abandoned her children as she jetted off to Europe for a vacation said her departure was "an intentional premeditated act". Two of the kids are 12, while the others are 6 and 7.
Once she returned, she was arrested. "That is to say, we're just discussing 12-year-olds being the grown-ups here". "Apparently she had talked to a couple of family members that earlier on had some conflicts watching the children during that time-frame, and she gave them the indication she had it taken care of".
A mother-of-four is behind bars in the U.S. after being arrested for leaving her kids at home while she went on a solo holiday to Germany.

Macke, 30, is not allowed to see her children while she waits for her October 9 court date.
"We have situations where parents go next door, or parents may go out for the night, and while that's not advisable either depending on the age of the children, obviously leaving the country is a totally different situation", Tompkins said.
Cops say the day after the mom left the country, they got a tip the children were home alone in their apartment.
