At the heart of the new XJR575 is a modified version of the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that makes 575 horsepower - 25 more than the standard XJR - and also cranks out 517 lb-ft of peak torque compared to the base car's 502.
Jaguar's hot new XJR575 sedan. That's good for a 0-60 miles per hour time of just 4.2 seconds, impressive for a four-door. There are also twin bonnet louvres and 20-inch black wheels with red brake calipers to show the car's performance credentials.
The 2018 XJ is available to order now, priced from £59,995 OTR.
Inside, the seats are covered in diamond-quilted leather to add some refinement to the powerful super sedan along with unique embossed tread plates.. The XJR575 - as the moniker implies, has been upgraded for another 25 hp extracted from the supercharged 5-liter engine, now good for 575 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque (700 Nm), which is enough for a 0-62 miles per hour sprint in 4.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 186 miles per hour (300 kph). A 10-inch touchscreen in the centre console offers a customisable home screen, and connectivity is improved with 4G Wi-Fi that up to eight devices can connect to. With 567bhp going through the rear tyres, the new XJR575 will hit its electronically-limited 186mph top speed in 44 seconds, having passed 62mph in a traction-limited 4.4 seconds.
The XJR575 will only be available in two colors, Velocity Blue and the Satin Corris Grey featured on this auto. But the advanced driver-assist systems available include automatic emergency braking and park, blind-spot and lane-keep assist.
Compared to the lesser powered XJR models, the XJR575 gets a rear spoiler, side sills, front bumper and lower air intakes featuring gloss black surrounds.
