Rain began overnight, and is expected to continue through much of the day. There will be lots of sunshine across southern Idaho on Tuesday, and highs will be near 80 for the valleys and the mid 70s for the mountains.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. At this time, expecting bulk of rain to remain offshore with mostly sunny skies prevailing. The sky will be cloudy in the morning and a few showers are possible. Impulses of energy aloft in that jet stream are also likely to trigger the formation of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The high will be 82. Northwest wind 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. North wind around 5 miles per hour.
