James Marigold not only presented the flawless, emotional ending to Jackman's career as the Wolverine, but also gave the industry a breath-taking actress in form of 11-year-old Dafne Keen in the form of X-23 aka Laura.

Hugh Jackman's last film as Wolverine looks just as epic in black and white in the new trailer for Logan Noir, a monochromatic version of the James Mangold film hitting theaters for one night only. Now, as the film draws closer to its home release, Entertainment Weeklygives fans a chance to check out Keen's screen test as Laura with Jackman.

Not only is Keen's performance riveting, but it's extra impressive to know she improvised a great deal of it. "James [Mangold] showed me a clip of her audition on camera", he says, "she was playing a scene and it was very, very good and she asked the director, could she improvise the scene?" But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant (Dafne Keen) arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Dafne Keen's Logan audition tape absolutely blew away her co-star Patrick Stewart.

"I went home and I had bruises all over my arm".

"How do you have an 11-year-old character who doesn't speak in 90 pages?" Jackman said when EW was doing their cover story.

The actor said: "There was an invitation early on from Hugh [Jackman] and [director James Mangold] and I would have loved to work on it". Would you like to see her reprise her role as Laura/X-23 in future X-Men movies? "This is something." We agree, Jackman, she is really something! The noir version of the movie will be included with the digital HD release of the movie, as well as the Blu-ray/4K release.
