Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua defended his IBF heavyweight title and fought for the vacant WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight titles against Wladimir Klitschko on April 29, before a 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
"I like to entertain and if that s a fight that will bring entertainment to the sport again, then I would love to be involved", added Joshua, nicknamed AJ. I believe that in the updated The Ring rankings (which may come out next week), Joshua should be the magazine's champion at heavyweight dislodging Fury.
The Federal Government is working out plans to invite the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua to Nigeria. "You've got the championship belts of the world and then you've got the entertainers of the world that haven't got belts at the minute, so it's whatever we want to do".
American Deontay Wilder watched Joshua's dramatic stoppage win from ringside, as part of the Sky Sports Box Office team, and Espinoza hopes to build a unification clash between the two big-punching world champions. It is the heavyweights, it is me and AJ, no one else.
Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, has already made it clear that a Joshua vs. Fury fight is not even close to take place in 2017. Despite all the issues Fury is going through, Hearn said that if there was a possibility to make the fight happen they would. That depends on a successful defence in October or November.
However, he admitted that a match-up with fellow Briton Tyson Fury is the fight that most people want to see and that it seems to be "heading in that direction".
The 27-year-old is now the hottest ticket in boxing and the UFC president thinks Joshua is a lifesaver for boxing. "We all saw (his career) had a life and death situation against Klitschko, but Klitschko couldn't land a glove on me", Fury said.
