Coach Paul Mainieri's comments: "We're obviously thrilled to win the SEC tournament championship". Walker issued one walk, which was intentional, and struck out a season-high eight hitters.

Shortstop Jax Biggers was omitted from the all-tourney team despite leading the tournament with 10 hits, going 10 for 20 (.500) in Hoover, including a tournament-record 3 triples. A Calvary Day School graduate, Newman earned his 10th save.

The second-seeded Tigers beat the fourth-seeded Razorbacks 4-2 to lift their 12th SEC Tournament crown, which is the most in the conference.

The Razorbacks (42-17), whose ninth-inning, bases-loaded rally ended on a force out, fell to 0-4 in SEC Tournament championship games and 3-13 against LSU in the postseason. Unfortunately, Bonfield hit into a game-ending groundout leaving the tying run in scoring position.

Spanberger was named tournament MVP, and also said he was surprised by the move.

One day after hitting three home runs in the same game, Spanberger didn't' get almost as many hittable pitches as he was walked twice, but still slugged a career-high two doubles. His big hit came after Taylor Walls scored on a wild pitch and Raleigh singled to left in the next inning. The umpiring crew reviewed the play and upheld home plate umpire Tony Walsh's safe call, which gave the Tigers a 4-1 lead. Spanberger had no hits on the day, but he had struck out once and walked once.

Starting pitcher Eric Walker almost shut down Arkansas' powerful lineup.

Duplantis doubled, singled and scored twice for LSU. The other runs were driven in by Beau Jordan and Nick Coomes, who did damage in the fourth inning on a walk and sac fly respectively. The Diamond Hogs were only able to muster two runs off seven hits. The 6-foot righty's only run allowed came on a solo home run by Arkansas' Eric Cole, who briefly gave the Razorbacks a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning.

Hunter Newman had a shaky ninth inning, allowing Eric Cole's two-out RBI single, before closing things out for his 10th save. And in the second semis, also in seven innings, Arkansas pounded top-seeded Florida 16-0. But only after the pep talk from teammates. With runners on first and second and two out in the fifth, Walker got Bonfield to foul out to catcher Michael Papierski. "The ball kind of took me up the line a little bit". In a seven-inning complete game, he allowed only two hits and three walks while striking out eight.

"We have to credit Arkansas, they can swing the bats really well", UF coach Kevin O'Sullivan said. "It was a good week of baseball for us". As a result, the regular season SEC West champs get an automatic bid into this year's NCAA Baseball Tournament.

The Seminoles' Jackson Lueck was voted tournament MVP.
