Both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion were together made at a cost of Rs400-450 crore. And now, what with the whopping number of screens, Baahubali 2 is now on its way to be the first film to get such a massive release in the country. The worldwide box office for Indian films is dominated by the Hindi language Bollywood industry, and these regional films (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and dozens of other language groups) rarely make an impression on local box offices. Also, the director mentioned that this gift is completely for the effort of the actor who spent over five years for this film and present as expected one. "Better to let anyone and everyone watch it in theatres soon enough instead of making them wait for long".
Baahubali: The Conclusion which is just a few days away from its release, is all set for a grand premiere.
Prabhas had spent almost 600 days filming for the Baahubali franchise, with the actor refraining from signing any other film over the tenure of five years while shooting for the magnum opus project.
Sharing Prabhas' look, the official Twitter handle of Baahubali wrote, "Amarendra Baahubali Arriving in 3 Days ..." Crooned by Daler Mehndi along with MM Keeravaani and Mounima, the video promo also gave a peep into what we can expect from the film in terms of spectacle.
In case you can't tell, I'm excited. According to media reports, the film will open world-wide on record 9,000 screens and will hit 6,500 screens in India on April 28. However, it would still be huge, which means it is a given that Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion would have a first day in excess of Rs. 50 crore at the least.
