Nokia 3310 pre-orders finally start; sale to begin from April 28

As spotted by NokiaPowerUser in a listing, Nokia 3310 is up for pre-orders via some retailers along with the release date which is April 28, 2017. The report said that certain European countries like Norway, Austria, and the Czech Republic were listing the device at around the Euro 59 mark. And Nokia's liaison with hundreds and thousands of retailers owing to its strong presence in the feature phones segment will be leveraged by HMD Global to register high volumes of sales.

The Nokia 3310 was first unveiled in the year 2000, and it had paved way for a new generation of devices with sturdy bodies and bigger batteries.

Nokia 3310 was supposed to launch in the second quarter of 2017, and it looks the phone is now up for pre-orders in Germany and Austria, although it will officially go on sale on April 28. According to the report in NPU, the price that has been listed for the Nokia 3310 is Euro 56-69. According to an IANS report, Nokia had informed that it considers India as an important market for its phones.

Though the name and company is the same, the entire brand has been refreshed with its new license owned by HMD Global, which is led by ex-Nokia executives and backed by Chinese electronics giant Foxconn.

In fact, some reports suggest Nokia 3310's launch in India may get delayed to the month of June.

Nokia 3310 qualifies a feature phone. The Nokia 9 will also likely come with the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system out of the box.

Note that this is separate from the one spotted last week on a Swedish website which hinted the device to come with 3G capabilities which was later claimed to be incorrect by HMD, reported NokiaPowerUser. Once again, the good news is that the phone will be loaded with Nokia's classic Snake game. Nokia has contributed a lot to the world of mobile phones. The phone comes in four colour variants-Warm Red, Yellow, both with a gloss finish, and matte finished Dark Blue and Grey.
