The actor dropped a few hints on the movie while out promoting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where he couldn't help but compliment the sequel's director, J.A Bayona.
Filming of the sequel to Jurassic World is now in the works, with Pratt reprising his role as Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady. Screen Rant chatted with him this week and asked what to expect from the dino sequel, learning that it's darker, scarier and unexpected.
"He's a remarkable filmmaker, " Pratt says of director Bayona. If you haven't seen The Impossible or A Monster Calls, I mean he's really visually masterful. "Deep emotions and suspense", Pratt remarked. Although he did not caption the image, many social media users speculated that it could be hybrid dinosaurs. He said, "We're not always going to be the only ones who can make a dinosaur". Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, and Ted Levine will be joining the cast. It is reported that movie will not rely completely on CGI and will have lots of practical effects.
The film is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
There are no details as of the moment as to how the leaked plot details will play out with returning characters such as Owen and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard).
Pratt and co are also set to be terrorised by the T-Rex again, with co-writer and producer Colin Trevorrow confirming the news on Twitter earlier this month.
"I think what is tricky about doing the fifth movie of a franchise is how will you bring in new stuff and still pay tribute to what we all know and the legacy of the film".
"I think one of the reasons they called me is they wanted to go darker and scarier", he explained.
